Part-Time Administrative Assistant
The Brighton Area Fire Authority is taking
applications for a part-time Administrative
Assistant. We will be accepting
applications until February 8 th,
2012 at 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities
Receives and screens a variety of phone
calls, visitors and provides public
information as directed; screens and routes
mail, inter-office correspondence;
prepares a variety of letters, forms and
permits and tracks personnel and operational
actions; compiles a variety of narrative,
accounting and statistical reports; operates
computer systems and other specialized
equipment for data entry and timekeeping
purposes. Performs other general clerical
work as assigned. Coordinates conference
and meeting room schedules.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent plus
experience in office management. Must
be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
programs, (Word, Excel & Outlook). Must
have the necessary communication and
interpersonal skills to interact with staff, the
general public and others.
Salary
This is a 24 hour per week position
(Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) with an hourly
rate of $13.00 - $15.85 per hour depending
on qualifications.

Free Smoke Detectors
The Brighton Area Fire Department has launched an initiative to ensure that
there is at least one working smoke detector in every residence in the City of
Brighton, Brighton and Genoa Township. Brighton fire fighters will come to
your home at no charge and install a working smoke detector. Installation
takes only fifteen minutes.
This program is available only to residents of the
City of Brighton, Brighton Township and Genoa Township.
